The UK Vape Tax Is Changing
The new Government Vape Duty starts on 1st October 2026. Prices won't all increase overnight — we'll keep existing prices for as long as we can and make changes gradually as new duty-paid stock arrives.
UK Vaping Products Duty (VPD)
From 1st October 2026, HM Revenue & Customs is introducing the nationwide Vaping Products Duty (VPD).
The new framework applies a flat excise duty of £2.20 per 10ml of vaping liquid, whether it contains nicotine or not. Because standard 20% VAT applies on top of the duty, the retail cost impact adds £2.64 per 10ml to duty-paid liquids.
Existing eligible stock can continue to be sold during the Government's transition period (sell-through of existing pre-October stock is permitted until 1 April).
We are working closely with our suppliers to ensure the smoothest possible transition. While pre-duty stock remains available, our prices will remain at current rates.

What's the difference between nic salts and freebase e-liquid?
Nicotine salts generally provide a smoother throat hit at higher nicotine strengths compared with traditional freebase nicotine e-liquids.
As the nicotine strength of a freebase liquid increases, the throat hit can become noticeably stronger. Nic salts are formulated differently, allowing strengths such as 10mg and 20mg to feel smoother when vaped in an appropriate low-powered device.
This makes nicotine salt e-liquids particularly well suited to refillable pod kits and mouth-to-lung devices.
What strength should I choose — 10mg or 20mg?
EDGE LIQ is available in two nicotine strengths: 10mg and 20mg.
10mg is the lighter option for lower-nicotine sessions and can be a useful choice if you're looking for a moderate-strength nic salt.
20mg is the strongest nicotine option in the EDGE LIQ range and provides more nicotine per ml than the 10mg version.
Once you've found the strength that suits you, you can switch between EDGE LIQ flavours while keeping the same nicotine strength.
What does the 50/50 VG/PG blend mean?
EDGE LIQ uses a 50% VG / 50% PG formulation.
VG (vegetable glycerin) is the thicker component of e-liquid and contributes to vapour production, while PG (propylene glycol) is thinner and helps carry flavour.
A balanced 50/50 blend works particularly well with the smaller coils commonly found in refillable pod systems and MTL vape kits. The relatively thin consistency allows the e-liquid to wick efficiently through coils designed for 50/50 liquids.
What pod kits work with EDGE LIQ?
The 50/50 VG/PG blend makes EDGE LIQ particularly suitable for refillable pod kits, starter kits and mouth-to-lung vape devices designed for 50/50 e-liquid.
These devices generally use smaller coils and lower power settings than sub-ohm vape kits.
High-powered sub-ohm devices designed for thick, high-VG e-liquids aren't the intended match for EDGE LIQ. If you're using a small refillable pod or MTL kit, a 50/50 nic salt such as EDGE LIQ is usually the type of liquid the device is designed around.
